You may have read the post about our company’s 30th Anniversary Celebration that I got to plan. It turned out really well, thanks to the awesome food (thanks to Special Occasions Caterers) and killer location at the House of Sweden.
Part of what made the evening so special was the warmth of the people there. Of course the firm has some superstar networkers and folks that know everyone, but the props go out to those engineers and planners that are not used to that environment. The training (okay, nagging on my part) paid off because I never saw clumps of staffers in the corner (my BIGGEST peeve with company sponsored events like open houses). Our people just rocked it.
One final note, I got three different thank yous for making the nametags so big (tiny name tags are another peeve of mine). So, if you are planning your own function, make sure to unclump the regulars and make really, really big name tags. Just passing that along.
